Microsoft Is Joining In On The Crazy Summer Sales With The Xbox Store Ultimate Game Sale

Huge, crazy game sales have become a normal part of the gaming universe over the past few years. The practice was made famous with Steam’s huge, crazy quarterly sales that helped to ignite buying frenzies among gamers. Since then other platforms have been doing similar things, with Sony currently having a huge, ongoing sale that changes every few days. Microsoft has decided that they don’t want to be left out in the cold this time around, though.

The Xbox Ultimate Game Sale starts on Tuesday, July 5, reports GameRant, and will extend to July 11. MajorNelson has the list of games on sale and some of the discounts are pretty huge, ranging from 40 to 60 percent off, in some cases an additional 10 percent off as long as you are an Xbox Live Gold subscriber. The deals include a lot of games, including more recent games like Tom Clancy’s The Division at 33 percent off, Halo 5: Guardians 50 percent off and The Witcher III: The Wild Hunt also 50 percent off.

If you are a PC gamer with Windows 10 and perhaps were excited by the prospect of Microsoft’s Play Anywhere announcement there will be PC games for sale during this event as well, it’ll only be about 30 games for now, including Quantum Break, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.

So never fear, Xbox players, your day of crazy deals and big discounts has finally come. There’s no longer a need to be jealous of friends going nuts over the latest Steam sale, now you can pick up cheap games that’ll sit and collect digital dust inside of your library just like all of your friends.
