The Cardinals fined defensive tackle and small crocodile owner Darnell Dockett the whopping total of $200,000 for insubordination for refusing to comply with Arizona defensive coordinator Ray Horton’s instructions to let the Jets score late in the Week 13 loss to New York. Dockett also got into a spat with teammate Kerry Rhodes. It was reported last week that Dockett had spit in Rhodes’ face during the incident, but Rhodes later denied that said expectoration ever happened. Dockett still apologized for lashing out at his teammate.

Not only is Dockett fined an excessive amount that would make James Harrison indignant, but his role will reportedly be reduced for today’s game in Seattle. Given Dockett played nearly all defensive snaps in the game against the Jets and is one of the team’s best players on defense, that might have a detrimental effect on the road against a good division foe. But, hey, John Skelton is back under center after two weeks of Ryan Lindley. That might be the most marginal of improvements.

Reading about the revolving Cardinals quarterback sh*tshow made me reminisce over those heady 2010 days of Max Hall. Apparently he’s now an assistant coach at BYU. I see no reason why that should stop Arizona from giving him a start before the season is over.
