The Zombie Apocalypse Has Begun In Montana, Reports TV Station Prankster

Someone in Montana hacked into the Emergency Alert System on two channels (KRTV and the CW) to warn Montana residents that “bodies of the dead are rising from their graves and attacking the living.” KRTV, a CBS affiliate in Great Falls, later released a statement that they were investigating the hack, which came from an outside source.

Lt. Shane Sorensen of the Great Falls Police Department says they received four phone calls from viewers checking if it were true. Four? That must be the highest-rated TV show in Montana.

Here’s a partial transcript of the message which preempted a “teen cheaters” segment on yesterday’s episode of The Steve Wilkos Show.

Civil Authorities in your area have reported that the bodies of the dead are rising from their graves and attacking the living. Follow the messages on-screen that will be updated as information becomes available. Do not attempt to approach or apprehend these bodies as they are considered extremely dangerous. I repeat… […] This warning applies to all areas receiving this broadcast. Tune into 920 AM to get updated information in the event you are separated from your television or if electrical service is interrupted. […] This station will now cease transmission, so please use your battery-powered radio, tune into 920 AM for information.

Here are a couple of videos, and the first one is confirmed as real. The second one is very likely fake since the audio in the background didn’t completely cut out when the emergency broadcast cut in. Wait, someone on YouTube is making hoax videos of someone else’s zombie hoax? The plot thickens.
