A Group Of Friends Went To Paris For The Weekend And All They Got Was A Corpse At Their AirBnb

Turns out that the Jake Johnson movie “Digging For Fire” is totally real, because a group of friends found a corpse in the garden of the Airbnb property they rented in the Parisian suburbs over the weekend.

The Telegraph reports that the friends rented a house through Airbnb to throw a weekend party in Palaisseau, but canceled their shindig because — as it turns out — when you find the decomposing body of a woman buried in a shallow grave covered with branches and logs, you’re going to need to be questioned by the police.

Police said they were treating the woman’s death as murder.

She had no identity papers on her and on Sunday, officers were still trying to find out who she was.

“The state of the body, which was in an advanced stage of decomposition, did not enable investigators to determine the cause of death,” a judicial source said. A post mortem was due to be carried out.

The prosecutor’s office in the nearby suburb of Evry said that “all the signs suggest that this was a criminal act.”

The report goes on to mention that Airbnb didn’t comment about the state of the property’s page on the site, and glosses over the fact that Paris has become the world’s most active property-sharing city with more than 40,000 Airbnb listings.
