Donald Trump didn’t come to Thursday’s Fox News GOP to make friends. Earlier in the evening, he threatened Megyn Kelly after she questioned his past negative comments about womens’ bodies. He admitted buying favors from his fellow candidates. And he went into red-faced denial mode when questioned about his cluttered financial history.

Between 1991-2009, Trump filed for corporate bankruptcy four times. These legal kerfuffles all concerned Trump Entertainment Resorts (formerly known as Trump Hotel & Casino Resorts) in Atlantic City, New Jersey. None of these filings were for personal bankruptcy but still reflect poorly upon Trump’s abilities to run large-scale operations.

Moderator Chris Wallace asked Trump about his four corporate bankruptcies: “With that record, why should we trust you to run the nation’s business?” Trump insisted that he’d only “used the laws of this country” to “do a great job for my company, my employees. I have never gone bankrupt … Four times I’ve taken advantage of these laws.”

Wallace clarified how lenders to Trump’s company “lost over a billion dollars – thousands of people lost their jobs.” This record is pretty interesting for a candidate who promises to bring jobs back to the United States.

Twitter further put Trump’s hypocrisy (and that of the debate’s live audience) in its place:
