Clint Eastwood having a chat with a chair didn’t exactly pan out at the 2012 Republican National Convention, so it’s up to the star of Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 to pick up the RNC celebrity baton.

Outspoken Obama critic Scott Baio has informed the world that he’ll be speaking at this week’s RNC in Cleveland. Not only that, but he was (according to the actor) tapped by Donald Trump himself for the position. Baio shared on Fox News’ Justice with Judge Jeanine how the invitation came about.

“I was at a fundraiser for Mr. Trump the other night with my wife, and he invited me to speak at the convention—which was completely unexpected and out of left field. He had given a speech and he was walking out, and I looked at him and I said, ‘Mr. Trump, Scott Baio…,’ and he said, ‘Oh my god!’ And he said to me, ‘Do you want to speak?’ and I said, ‘Here?’ and he goes, ‘No, no, at the convention!’”

Baio has never been shy about gushing over Trump. He’s even made a bit of a fuss about how Starbucks (allegedly) refused to say the name Trump when he placed an order at the coffee chain. He’s also someone willing to attend the RNC, which hasn’t been an easy sell to a lot of celebs or a number of top Republicans.

In his Fox News chat, Baio shared that he’ll be speaking on Monday night. No word yet on if he’ll be trotting out this anti-Clinton meme at the RNC.
