Next week’s cover of The New Yorker will pay tribute to the nine victims of the shooting that took place this week at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, S.C. and sometimes there just isn’t much to say. This minimal and symbolic image is about all artist Barry Blitt could muster after yet another mass shooting:
“It’s distressing contemplating another story like this, but not really surprising, I guess.”
I wish there was a way to not end this post on a depressing note, but it’s really hard to find one. Take care of yourselves, internet.
