By now, you’ve probably heard of Donald Trump’s proposed wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. You know, the one that he’s certain he can get Mexico to pay for. The wall has been a sore subject for traditional Republicans (but an astoundingly popular one for Trump supporters) ever since the New York real estate mogul took the infamous escalator ride that beget his magical mystery tour of a presidential campaign. And guess what? Former Mexican President Vicente Fox isn’t too happy about it.
The retired politician recently spoke with Fusion’s celebrity journalist Jorge Ramos about the matter, and he was rather blunt about his feelings regarding the wall.
“I’m not going to pay for that fucking wall. He should pay for it! He’s got the money… Democracy can not take that, crazy people that don’t know what is going on in the world today. This worries me, the last caucus in Nevada… he won 44 percent of Hispanics.”
When he and Ramos transitioned into discussing the Nevada Republican primary results from Tuesday, however, an equally troubling suggestion was implied by the 73-year-old Fox. Namely, that he would “like to know who those Hispanics are.”
“They are followers of a false prophet. And he’s going to take them to the desert, and if they think that they will benefit with an administration led by Donald Trump, they’re wrong. They must open their eyes.”
Fox’s “take them to the desert” line was obviously a continuation of his “false prophet” accusation against Trump. Then again, we’ve all seen way too many (i.e. all) episodes of Breaking Bad to know what the occasional excursion out into the arid landscape really means.
Meanwhile, Trump took notice of Fox’s trending comments and responded on Twitter.

It’s interesting/funny/depressing to note that Trump has done something like this. Remember when he indirectly called Ted Cruz a pussy? Sure, the media immediately became swept up in the word choice, but Trump was defended in the press and the issue quickly dissipated. Also, he never apologized for it.
