Ricky Rubio Reaches, Chris Paul Teaches

Ricky Rubio boasts quick feet, active hands, and a constantly running motor. But that doesn’t mean he’s any defensive match for Chris Paul. “You reach, I teach,” the reigning Point God says.

Related: Is there any chance Paul will get MVP traction? Steph Curry, James Harden, and Russell Westbrook are pretty far ahead of the field, but the Los Angeles Clippers superstar has been nothing short of dominant during Blake Griffin’s absence. Paul is averaging 21.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 12.4 assists per game on 50.7 percent shooting since his All-NBA partner was sidelined with a staph infection on February 8, leading his team to a 7-5 record in the process.

Seems like MVP-level play to us.

Paul has two points and 11 assists through the third quarter of his team’s game against Rubio and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
