The NBA Family Welcomes Beloved Sideline Reporter Craig Sager Back To Action

Beloved TNT sideline reporter Craig Sager returned to action on Thursday 11 months after being diagnosed with leukemia.

The charismatic 60 year-old perhaps best known for his outlandish fashion sense is working tonight’s game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Chicago Bulls from United Center. He last appeared on April 10 before seeking medical treatment for an illness that eventually led to his diagnosis.

Sager told NBA TV earlier today what it meant to return following months of aggressive treatment that included a bone marrow transplant.

Assuming Russell Westbrook continues his dominant play, we can’t wait to watch Sager interview the fashion forward point guard after the game. The two already exchanged pleasantries and likely some attire advice, too.

Westbrook, Gregg Popovich, Dwyane Wade and others welcomed back Sager with the amusing video below. Our favorite portion, unsurprisingly, is the San Antonio Spurs coach saying he looks forward to the “probing, incisive, profound” interviews to come.

Of course, everyone in the NBA world is thrilled to have Sager back.

Great have to you back, Craig – even better that you’re healthy!
