Michael Beasley Celebrates His Third Straight Trey With A Gesture That’s Easily Misconstrued

Michael Beasley was very, very excited about nailing his third consecutive three-pointer. So excited, in fact, that this angle easily lends itself to thinking the Miami Heat journeyman’s celebration was something we’re at least fairly sure it wasn’t, and definitely hope it wasn’t.

Might another look help us better understand his seemingly spontaneous taunt?

Yeah…not really. The music doesn’t help, either.

At least Beasley was holding up three fingers on his right hand. The action it looks like he was miming would be difficult to pull off that way, right? Are we thinking about this way too much? Should we not even get into the fact that his left arm is held taut behind his back? Please say yes.

The former number two overall pick’s 13 points pace all scorers at halftime, as the Heat – desperate for a win to keep pace in the Eastern Conference playoff race – lead the sluggish Chicago Bulls 51-32.
