That’s a dirty, dirty play by Nikola Mirotic. Making matters worse for the Chicago Bulls rookie is how Iman Shumpert and the Cleveland Cavaliers reacted to it.
After Mirotic randomly clotheslined Shumpert and received a flagrant-1 foul with 5:18 left before halftime, the Cavaliers went on a 17-4 run to close the second quarter. Related: Cleveland’s flat-topped wing scored nine of his team-high 11 points following the incident.
