LeBron James Reportedly Asked Cavalier Players To Join Him In Miami For Pre-Camp Workouts

Last week, LeBron James let the world know (at the bright and early hour of 5:36 a.m.) that he was kicking his offseason training into high gear. The not-so-subtle secret is that James took the NBA Finals loss to the Golden State Warriors especially hard and is as motivated as ever to bringing a championship to Cleveland.

To get that title, though, it can’t just be the LeBron show. We’ve already seen that movie play out and it doesn’t end well, at least not for Cleveland. According to Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com, James is calling on his Cavalier teammates to join him in Miami for pre-training camp workouts:

A few players and coaches have already assembled in Miami while the majority of the team’s roster is expected to arrive towards the middle of the week, one source revealed.

James’ pre-camp is tentatively scheduled to conclude early next week, I’m told.

No one’s questioning James’ motivation, but there seems to be an extra sense of urgency with James this offseason. Maybe it’s because he’s officially hit his 30s. Maybe it’s because he knows he can’t win an NBA title by himself, no matter how brilliant he plays. But it’s clear he wants another championship bad and he wants to make sure his teammates want it just as much.
