Just when we thought Zach LaVine was far and away the best dunker we’ve seen in a generation, Aaron Gordon seemingly came out of nowhere and announced to the world that he’s on a similar level in terms of his high-flying exploits. And it’s not just relegated to the dunk contest. Gordon regularly throws down insane in-game dunks that would earn him high marks at All-Star Weekend.
He was at it again on Wednesday against the Clippers. Midway through the third quarter, with Orlando trailing L.A. 74-66, Gordon went backdoor on Chris Paul to throw down this absolutely mind-boggling reverse jam off a pretty lob pass from Evan Fournier. Gordon got so incredibly high that he nearly hit his head on the rim in the process.
