Entering your freshman year of college is an equally exciting and terrifying experience for many people. Lots of colleges try to help ease the transition by holding orientation events, which is what we have here. Ball State‘s “Welcome Week” apparently included a half-court shot competition to give some freshmen an opportunity to lessen the financial stranglehold of college tuition. One killed drilled his shot, then rightfully went nuts.
I can’t really think of a better way to start off your college experience than by immediately becoming “big man on campus” while putting thousands of dollars back in your pockets, so congratulations to this kid. If nothing else, it gave him a great reason to party that night, because I’m sure that’s exactly what he needed.
