Bill Walton Lost His Bike And Twitter Helped Him Find It

Bill Walton is everyone’s favorite Grateful Dead fan/late night college basketball analyst. Few things in college hoops are more fun than watching a game between two Pac-12 teams that features the Hall of Famer on the call, because invariably, Walton will go off talking about something that has nothing to do with hoops. He is such a delightful personality that he can make any college basketball game – whether it’s a thriller or a blowout – exponentially more fun. He also really likes volcanoes, which seems like a very Bill Walton thing to enjoy.

Walton’s personal life also seems to be rather upbeat and cheery, even when he goes through something unfortunate. For example, Walton lost his bicycle during a flight to Hawaii.

Instead of getting down in the dumps or traveling to the Alamo with the intent of searching its basement for his bike, he decided to turn to Twitter with the hopes that someone would give him a hand.

This ended up being a good idea. Walton credited Twitter and a bike shop with helping him retrieve his two-wheeled mode of transportation, which he planned on taking with him as he explored a volcano. Because of course, everything comes back to his love of the Grateful Dead or volcanoes. Additionally, he thanked people on Twitter for tweeting at the airline that lost his bike.

Bill Walton really is the best.
