According to multiple sources, Blake Griffin had surgery today on his injured quadriceps and is done for the season.

Griffin didn’t play in the final 5:28 of Monday night’s Game 4 loss to the Blazers in Portland after re-aggravating the quadriceps injury that kept him out for a huge portion of the regular season.

Here’s how it all went down, according to the Clippers:

Blake Griffin will miss the remainder of the postseason after aggravating the left quad injury that kept him out for half of the regular season.

Griffin, who missed 41 games this year with a partially torn left quad tendon, felt a tweak in the same quad while getting fouled in the third quarter Monday night by Mason Plumlee.

He went to the locker room with the sore quad before trying to return to the court, but that effort didn’t last long, as he watched the end of the game back on the bench. Griffin said he hoped the next 24 or 48 hours would have him turning a corner. That, however, won’t be the case.

An MRI on Tuesday morning revealed no further structural damage, and Griffin will be ready for the start of training camp next season, but his 2015-16 playoffs are done.

Griffin will join fellow 2015 All-Star, Chris Paul, on the sideline. Paul also had surgery today on the hand he fractured in Game 4. He’s not necessarily done for the duration of the playoffs, but the Clippers would likely have to advance to the Finals if he were to suit up again this season.

The loss of both stars leaves the Clippers in treacherous waters with Game 5 looming against an upstart Blazers team that had no problem defending home court even with Blake and Chris Paul somewhat healthy.

Los Angeles was a 1.5 point favorite at home against the Blazers in Game 5. That’s going to change now.

ESPN.com’s Ramona Shelburne summed it up in a tweet:

The Western Conference playoffs just lost three stars in a manner of days, two of whom play for the Clippers. San Antonio and Oklahoma City fans should keep their fingers crossed.
