Monta Ellis is hoping for happy days in Milwaukee, so right after getting traded from the Warriors, he took out a full-page ad in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel to tell Bucks’ fans how glad he was to be in their town.
Classy move by Ellis as he looks for a new beginning with the Bucks.
Most notable from the message is his promise to “help the Milwaukee Bucks compete in the NBA playoffs … in 2012 and for many years to come.” With the eighth seed in the East still up for grabs, the Bucks can make a run in the coming weeks and sneak into the playoffs.
With moves like this Monta should become as much of a fan favorite in Milwaukee as he was in Golden State. Check out the ovation Warriors’ fans gave him when the Bucks were in town last Friday:
