Suddenly, any hopes that Chris Bosh might return to the Miami Heat this season have some legs. According to ESPN, Bosh no longer has a blood-clot condition that sidelined him for part of last season and this season. As such, he hopes to return to the Heat before the end of the 2015-16 regular season.

Bosh’s complications with blood clots have been well-documented. Most recently, news that Bosh’s blood clot condition had returned came in February. His season — his very life, even — was at risk. However, earlier this week Bosh tweeted that he was “feeling great,” possibly implying a return to the court. However, the Heat have reportedly been adamant that Bosh sit for the remainder of the season. That would appear to be corroborated by Miami Herald columnist Ethan Skolnick:
It has been stated to me over & over, however, that the team will not clear Bosh to return if there is even the slightest risk to his health

Obviously, Bosh’s health is the first and foremost priority. He doesn’t need to return a second before he’s ready simply because this condition is serious. And since it’s already developed into a complicated issue, you can’t be too safe. Everyone surely agrees on that. However, if Bosh is able to return, his presence would be a welcome sight for a team that, despite its ups and downs, seems to be hitting its stride at the right time.
