Dwyane Wade’s Kid Is In High School, And He May Be A Better Shooter Than His Dad

The most famous son of a current NBA player is probably LeBron James Jr. In addition to being named after his father/the best basketball player alive, he can actually play and is among the best young ballers in the nation.

But LeBron Jr. isn’t even in high school yet, so let’s focus our attention on another young hooper whose father is going to be in the NBA Hall of Fame some day – Zaire Wade. We got a brief look into his game thanks to a short highlight video, and the class of 2020 guard looks like he has some serious range on his jumper.

Based on the fact that he’s a class of 2020 recruit, young Wade is currently a freshman in high school. As The Ringer wrote prior to the 2016 NBA Draft, Zaire “has been the class of 2020’s crown jewel since fifth grade.” We see some of that in this video – his jumper is just as effortless as his handles, while his ability to pass the basketball backs up some of the other highlights we’ve seen out of him.

Now listen, everyone knows that shooting in high school/AAU and shooting in the NBA are two radically different things. But having said that, if Zaire’s stroke stays this pure as he goes through the various levels of basketball he’s going to play, it’s probably not a stretch to say that he’s on track to be a better shooter from downtown than his dad. Either way, hopefully Z-Wade took Kobe Bryant’s advice to shoot more to heart, because his jumper is gorgeous.
