Gerald Green Has Been Hospitalized After Missing Tuesday’s Game With An Undisclosed Illness

Gerald Green missed the Miami Heat’s Tuesday night loss to the Atlanta Hawks with an undisclosed illness. And though his team has yet to specify on the nature of the high-flying wing’s health, this latest news makes it seem far more concerning than initially anticipated.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Heat announced that Green has been hospitalized.

Miami HEAT statement on Gerald Green: “This morning we were informed that Gerald Green was admitted into the hospital. Right now our concerns are with Gerald and we have no further comment at this time.

Celebrity gossip site TMZ is reporting that the 29-year-old was taken to the hospital by ambulance this morning following a commotion at his South Florida apartment building.

Multiple witnesses at the condo tell us Green was acting strange in the lobby of the condo … screaming at the top of his lungs.

We’re told from several people that there was a huge commotion and it took several people — including emergency personnel — to restrain Green and get him on a stretcher and into an ambulance.

Though subsequent rumors swirled on social media about a potential arrest, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald learned that Green was never detained by local authorities.

We’ll keep you updated on Green’s status as information becomes available.
