It’s been more than a month since Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo lived up to his “Greek Freak” nickname and jumped clear over New York Knicks guard Tim Hardaway for a dunk.
Giannis ran on the two-on-one fast break, when teammate Khris Middleton tossed the ball high, and Antetokounmpo slammed it home, leaping over the backtracking Hardaway. Hardaway barely had time to shift his head, and Antetokounmpo cleared him like he was running hurdles on the track. Giannis even mentioned how he didn’t see Hardaway underneath before jamming it through the hoop.
The dunk was so ridiculous that the Bucks made a t-shift and promoted it on Twitter.
That didn’t last long, however, as about a week after unveiling the shirts, they were mysteriously gone.

According to ESPN’s Eric Nehm, Antetokounmpo apparently didn’t think it was right to be selling the shirts and acknowledged as much after another win over the Knicks.

Antetokounmpo is about as classy as they come if he was indeed behind the Bucks pulling the plug on the shirt.
The big man’s understanding of how embarrassing it must be for Hardaway Jr. to give a new definition to poster dunks with his namesake being on the receiving end of a dunk immortalized on an actual t-shirt, then possibly setting the wheels in motion for Milwaukee to pull the plug on production is just incredibly down to earth.
