Giannis Antetokounmpo ‘Did Not See Tim Hardaway Under Me’ When He Dunked Over Him

In case you missed it, Giannis Antetokounmpo did one of the coolest things he’s ever done during his basketball career on Tuesday night. Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton had a 2-on-1 during Milwaukee’s game against the Knicks, with only Tim Hardaway Jr. there to try and stop them from getting two points.

There was nothing Hardaway could really do to keep Antetokounmpo from jumping over him. This wasn’t a scenario where Hardaway bent over or anything, all 6’6 of him was standing up and got cleared by the Greek Freak on an alley-oop.

It was a wildly disrespectful dunk by Antetokounmpo, who had 23 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists in a 103-89 Bucks in. In a slightly less disrespectful moment, Antetokounmpo was asked about the dunk after the game and said that he straight up could not see Hardaway under him when he went up for the jam.

Antetokounmpo saying he got up so high that the human being who is taller than most people who was directly under him just wasn’t in his line of sight is incredible. While I would like to meet the people who think this is better than Vince Carter dunking over Fredric Weis — this was incredible, but come on, Vince jumped over a seven footer — everything else about this dunk, including Antetokounmpo’s reaction, was perfect.
