The Rockets Teamed Up With Travis Scott For A Special Game 6 Playoff Shirt

The Houston Rockets are looking for a bit of help from a Houston native to get the fans at Toyota Center excited to beat the San Antonio Spurs. Houston revealed a shirt “curated” by Travis Scott on Wednesday as its giveaway for Game 6 on Thursday as the Rockets attempt to stave off elimination.

The shirt uses the team’s Run As One slogan—which is far from the best of the postseason if you ask me—on a shirt that features Scott’s “Cactus Jack” record label on the sleeve and the game’s date on it as well.

The Rockets team account sent out pictures of the shirt, then Scott’s Twitter account did the same on Wednesday afternoon.

I know it’s being “curated” by a music man here, but that kerning is way messed up by my eyes.

Scott plans to pull double duty for Thursday’s Game 6: he plans to catch the game and put on a show in Houston.

The Houston native, who spent time as a ball boy for the Rockets in high school, is a huge fan of the team and has attended several games this season. He was there when Houston clinched its first-round playoff series against Oklahoma City, sitting courtside alongside reality star Kylie Jenner.

He’ll be at the Toyota Center on Thursday to hype up the crowd before tipoff. The rapper known for hits such as “Antidote,” “Goosebumps” and “Pick up the Phone” plans to catch the first half before dashing across downtown Houston to headline his sold-out concert.

No word on whether Jenner will be there, but the shirt is a nice touch if it happens to be Houston’s last home game of the year. They’ll need another big game from James Harden to give the team another chance to collaborate with Scott this spring.
