File this one under The Starters‘ “Highlight That Wasn’t.” Feisty Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas is an absolute dynamo on the court who score from just about anywhere at any time. He reminded us of that fact late in the third quarter against the Pistons on Wednesday.
After blowing by Andre Drummond on the perimeter and goading the big man into a foul, Thomas tried to get the and-one as he was falling out of bounds and flung up a wild shot that nearly touched the rafters before coming back down to earth and going in. Unfortunately, it was too little too late after the refs had blown the whistle.
