Jamie Foxx was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night, and he broke out one of the best impersonations of Doc Rivers we’ve ever seen. If you’re unfamiliar with the strained larynx of the Clippers helmsman, here he is after the Clippers beat the Spurs in Game 7 this year.
But the spot-on mimicry shouldn’t have been a surprise. Over All-Star weekend, we got a chance to see Jamie Foxx emcee the official East Coast unveiling of the Under Armour Curry One. A bevy of Any Given Sunday jokes were told since Foxx met UA CEO Kevin Plank on the set (they provided the gear for Oliver Stone’s Football tomfoolery). The Ray star even launched into an origin story in a pretty decent parallel between his own rise to Oscar prominence and Steph’s to perennial All-Star (he wasn’t MVP quite yet). It was fun after Plank’s somewhat synthetic presentation prefacing Foxx’s intro. He even nailed this LeBron impersonation:
