Imagine getting something you’ve always wanted as a gift. It would be emotional for two reasons – one is that you’re receiving a gift that obviously means a ton to you, the other is that someone (or a group of people) were so eager to show their appreciation for you that they made it a point to get you something you really wanted.
Both of those things happened to this Bible study teacher who appears to be a huge North Carolina basketball fan. His students got him a pair of Air Jordan XXXI Low UNCs, which led to him breaking down in tears as he opened the box and saw his new pair of kicks.

My favorite part of this is that he realizes exactly what this gift is once he flips over the box, but he doesn’t fully comprehend that he got a new pair of Jordans that rep the Tar Heels until he actually opens the box and unwraps the sneakers. Then, once he finally looks at the shoes, he can’t control his emotions. It’s such a pure reaction to receiving a gift, and it is fantastic.
The only question is whether he’s going to wear these casually, whether they’re his new basketball sneakers, or if they’re just going to be kept in mint condition for the rest of this guy’s life. No matter what he does, this is a really cool birthday present.
