Kobe’s First Nike Shoes Since His Retirement Still Seem Like A Must Buy

Kobe Bryant’s shoes kept getting better and better as his career went on, so it was good to see that he’d have new models rolling out even after the Mamba finally retired. It seems that Bryant’s shoe dynasty is in good hands (or feet), as the recent debut of the Kobe A.D. gives us another low profile shoe that will be lightweight, easy to play in, and perfectly fine to wear off the court.

The shoe’s got some Dynamic Flywire (much like the KDs), the Zoom in the heel you’ve come to expect (and we’re hoping for a potential iD option where you can get the full Zoom), and a striking but minimal grey coloring.

From the official release:

“Even though I am not on the court every day, there are people around the world who are helping to keep the ‘Mamba Mentality’ alive,” says Bryant. “I have seen it in basketball, football and with everyday individuals who are working to be better and are committed to being great.”

The shoe drops on Nov. 21 and is going for $160. For Kobe fans, of which there are plenty, it’s hard not to imagine people continuing to pick up his kicks long after his number (whether the Lakers go with No. 8 or No. 24) is retired.
