New York Knicks Rookie Kristaps Porzingis Has His H-O-R-S-E Game On Lock

Kristaps Porzingis was booed by New York Knicks fans on draft night, but it’s fair to say the fanbase has done a complete 180 on the big man since his performance in the Las Vegas summer league.

There’s a lot to like about Porzingis’ game – his athleticism, height, intelligence and defensive potential are through the roof. There is also the matter of his jump shot, which should give Knicks fans hope for the future. Porzingis sports a nice, smooth stroke, and in pre-draft workouts he consistently wowed spectators with his range. But there’s something else about Porzingis that should endear him to fans: plain and simple, he’s just a lot of fun.

Take this behind-the-curtain shot, for example. Here’s Porzingis, in the middle of the surely arduous and tenuous rookie photoshoot, just messing around, launching up shots from behind the curtain. Look at the shot, then look at Porzingis emerge from behind the curtain, sporting a smug grin, as if he knew he’d drain it without any problem whatsoever.

It’s going to be a rough year for Porzingis, as the first season tends to be for all rookies. Still, he’s going to be a fun player, faults and all, even if he’s not taking behind-the-curtain shots during an actual game.
