After the Cleveland Cavaliers pulled off their incredible come-from-behind, drought-snapping series victory in the NBA Finals, the competition for offseason MVP was off to the races. The odds-on favorite out of the gate was J.R. Smith, who got off to a hot start in Vegas and then later in Cleveland, where he was shirtless for days.
And while it’s still early with plenty of offseason left, Kyrie Irving is emerging as a dark horse challenger for the offseason throne.
The Cavs point guard had an under-appreciated parade performance, as he also went sans shirt and drank straight from the bottle like a champ.

But Irving has come on even stronger more recently. If you thought that the partying would slow down after an initial few days of celebration following Game 7, think again. Kyrie only seems to be picking up steam as the days roll on.

More importantly, though, the man got himself some chicken fingers. And they looked delicious.
Judging from these dance moves, it seems possible he also had plenty of alcohol to wash those chicken fingers down.
It’s up for debate whether or not this is enough to slide him above J.R. on the power rankings thus far. What is not up for debate, though, is that it’s a pretty good time to be Kyrie Irving.
