Kevin Love Has Thoughts On The Stepover That Probably Won’t Endear Him To LeBron

LeBron James and Draymond Green’s altercation in Game 4, and Green’s subsequent suspension continue to dominate headlines surrounding the NBA Finals ahead of Monday’s Game 5.

It seems like everyone has an opinion on Green’s “punch” and LeBron stepping over him, as Klay Thompson, Charles Barkley, and even Ayesha Curry have made their thoughts on the matter known, all to different degrees of controversy.

The latest to weigh in on the incident is beleaguered Cavaliers forward Kevin Love, and he’s not exactly sticking up for his teammate.

It’s important to note that Love didn’t directly diss LeBron with that comment, but he didn’t exactly endorse his actions either. You can’t imagine James, or the rest of his Cavs teammates, will be particularly thrilled when they see that quote shared everywhere online.

Love’s thoughts on stepovers may have to do with the fact that he’s experienced them himself from LeBron, who ignored a fallen K-Love during a Cavs game against the Knicks earlier this season.

In fact, LeBron has been doing the stepover move for so long, that he even once did it to his future coach, who, of course, knows a thing or two about being stepped over.

Love already has a complicated relationship with LeBron and the Cavs organization, and unless he plays a big part in helping his team come back from the 3-1 deficit they’re facing, you’d have to imagine that quote won’t help his chances of remaining with the team next season.
