Malcolm Brogdon Got Helped Off The Floor After Straining His Quad While Going Up For A Dunk

Malcolm Brogdon has followed up his Rookie of the Year campaign by having another solid season during 2017-18. The Bucks guard is averaging 13.5 points per game on the year and has continued to be a steady-but-productive player for Milwaukee.

But on Thursday night, the Bucks got some bad news, as Brogdon went down with a scary looking leg injury during their game against Minnesota. Brogdon had the ball on a fast break and went up for an uncontested dunk, with the nearest member of the Timberwolves trailing a few feet behind him and looking perfectly content to let Brogdon get two points on this possession.

The issue came when Brogdon looked like he jumped a little awkwardly, and his left leg kicked up in a way that looked a bit unusual. It led to the second-year player out of Virginia laying on the ground in serious pain.

Watching someone’s leg go up like that, especially when it leads to them laying down and getting tended to by the medical staff, looks really bad. Brogdon eventually had to be helped to the back without putting any weight on his leg.

If there is any good news for the Bucks, it’s that the initial diagnosis doesn’t label this injury as badly as it might have looked. The team reported that Brogdon suffered a left quad tendon strain.

There’s no word on how long Brogdon will miss. Milwaukee ended up losing to Minnesota, 108-89.
