Saving for their low-key role in the Kevin Durant sweepstakes, the San Antonio Spurs have been their typically quiet selves in this summer’s NBA free agency period. With a lot of key veterans who showed signs of aging in the 2016 playoffs, the Spurs’ largest hurdle this July will be figuring out how much their historically effective core has remaining in the tank.

Manu Ginobili, in a personal blog post, has announced that he’s got at least one season left in his crosshairs. Ginobili doesn’t offer much detail on his decision, but does go so far as to say that he had little doubt about a return, and that he remains determined as a basketball player.

It’s assumed that Manu will be back with the Spurs, the only team he’s ever played for, but Ginobili himself doesn’t say anything to this effect in his post. In an exploding market place with a rising salary cap, the 38 year old could find a good market for his talents based on his C.V. alone, but San Antonio has always been quite consistent in their commitment Ginobili. The one heavy x-factor in his fate is Durant, who could change the Spurs’ finances drastically if he hints that he wants to play there. Barring big developments on that front, though, you can expect to see the Argentinian back in Texas this October.
