Marc Gasol has been one of the most skilled big men in the NBA for several years, and that versatile skill set extends to his phenomenal passing ability. On Thursday night against the Orlando Magic, Gasol flashed that absurd vision and talent, lofting a perfect over-the-head outlet pass to a streaking Troy Williams for a dunk.
Before the pass even transpired, Gasol made a beautiful, one-handed steal, and the entire sequence seems impossible when considering that he is a legitimate 7-footer. There was probably some measure of luck to the flawless delivery of the pass since Gasol couldn’t actually see where Williams would be, but the floor sense and anticipation needed to make this kind of play is indicative of just how great Gasol is on a nightly basis.
The Grizzlies are shorthanded in the absence of Mike Conley, but if Marc Gasol is around, everything will be okay in Memphis.
