Mark Cuban Calls ‘Bullsh*t’ On Dirk Nowitzki Not Wanting A Farewell Tour

Aside from the Golden State Warriors, the biggest story of the season has been the Kobe Bryant farewell tour. With Dirk Nowitzki‘s career winding down, some have wondered whether the normally-reserved Mavericks legend would be game for a similar sendoff when the time arrives. The conventional wisdom says no, given his personality, but Dallas owner Mark Cuban isn’t so sure. Via Chris Ballard of SI.com:

“Bullsh*t! Bullsh*t, bullsh*t, bullsh*t, bullsh*t, bullsh*t, bullsh*t! Yeah, he loves that little wave when he comes out and passes a milestone. He loves it. LOOOVES IT! I don’t care what he says. ‘I don’t like going to the All-Star Games’. ‘I don’t want a farewell tour.’ He loves it!

“I remember his first All-Star Game, we literally told him he had to pack a knapsack, just in case we roadtrip from Philadelphia to Miami, and he packed one. Me, him and Nash…Oh my God…the shit we did. Can’t believe it’s been, what, 16 years.”

Granted, the Big German said last fall that he’d like to play at least two more seasons, so we might actually have to revisit this topic sooner rather than later if he does indeed decide that 2016-17 will be his last.
