Matt Barnes will not be suiting up for the Memphis Grizzlies’ matchup against the Clippers on Saturday night thanks to a one-game suspension. The ban comes as a result of Barnes’ antics on Thursday night in Milwaukee, when he tried to chase John Henson into the Bucks’ locker room to confront the big man following a dust-up late in the fourth quarter.

After reportedly telling Bucks players on multiple occasions that he’d meet them in the locker room following the game, Barnes had a shot attempt swatted hard by Henson with under a minute left in the fourth. Henson mean-mugged Barnes hilariously after the block, leading to both players subsequently being hit with ejections.

After complaining to officials for a few minutes, Barnes followed through on his promise and ran down the tunnel towards the Milwaukee locker room, where a verbal altercation reportedly ensued.

Here is video of the incident:

It shouldn’t come as a huge shock that Barnes is facing supplemental discipline as a result of his actions, nor should it come as a surprise that Barnes took something personally and decided to go to great lengths to do something about it after the fact. That’s kind of his thing.
