NBA 2K16 Is Free On Playstation 4 This June To Make Your NBA Finals Better

The Warriors did it. They came from behind three games to one and are heading to the NBA Finals for the second year in a row, where Cleveland and LeBron once again lie in wait. Thunder fans are understandably heartbroken, especially considering the odds were heavily in their favor to defeat the 73-9 Warriors, but now there’s nothing they can do except hope to beat them in NBA 2K16.

But what if you don’t want to shell out the dough for an NBA 2K game that’s about to be obsolete once 2K17 drops this fall? (Check out the leaked cover athlete here.) It’s cool – Playstation Plus has got you. Users who have signed up for the service know they can expect free games every month, and in June, Playstation is celebrating the NBA Finals by giving gamers NBA 2K16 for free.

Yes, one of the best sports games ever made is being gifted to us after we just saw one of the best 7-game series in NBA history. Moments like these remind us that sometimes it’s nice to just exist. We get such fun entertainment. When you’re done playing the Cavs vs. the Warriors, you can pit the ’95-’96 Bulls against the 2016 Warriors to finally settle the argument of which team is actually better. But, you have to play with the league’s current ruleset. No hand-checking! And so, the argument will live on.

Well, until you make Curry play Jordan on the blacktop.

You can download 2K16 on Tuesday, June 7.
