This year’s NBA Finals, as lopsided as they’ve been thus far, has featured a whole lot of hype. That tends to happen when you pit two of the game’s biggest stars against each other, and it’s even less surprising when you consider how many storylines there are to work with.
The rematch aspect. The James-Curry “rivalry.” LeBron desperate to bring a title to his long-suffering home city of Cleveland. Steph coming off a unanimous (and second consecutive) MVP selection. Golden State finishing with the greatest regular season in league history. There’s no shortage of narratives this year.
Typically when there’s a lot of hype, it also brings with it some pretty amazing forms of promotion. This season, illustrations seem all the rage. Some of them are absolutely spectacular.
