Here Are The Fresh Sneakers Featured In ‘NBA 2K17,’ Including Every Kobe Kick

Above these words is a wanna be Guy Ritchie video featuring all the sneakers that players can wear in the new NBA 2K17 video game. If you’re young and cool, you’re like, “Oh, awesome, I can dress Paul George in the latest Nike sneakers (which he wears anyway because he has a deal with Nike).” If you’re old and confused like me, you’re like, “Why would I want to dress Paul George in the latest Nike sneakers?”

Since only young, cool people read this site, let’s indulge you for a bit.

There are all kinds of fresh kicks available in the game. The Nike Hyperdunk, Air Jordan and D-Rose adidas sneakers. There’s also the entire collection of Kobe kicks.

For those of you who are too young to recall, Kobes are named for Kobe Bryant, who used to play in the NBA.

Then there are the Yeezys, the sneaker created by non-NBA star Kanye West.

I don’t know how you young people do it. If I had to select sneakers for guys before playing a game or wait for someone to do it before we could play, I’d throw my system out the window. I remember when video games first allowed for trading players and that led to 30 minutes of a friend trying to trade Manute Bol for David Robinson. Now I have to decide on which LeBron signature sneaker for him to wear before each game?

And if you’re going to add this feature to a game and you don’t make Steph Curry’s sneakers an option, why bother? All I’d ever do is dress LeBron in Curry 2s and laugh.

NBA 2K17 drops on September 20.
