Every Baby Born In Columbus This Weekend Is Getting A Pair Of LeBron James Shoes

LeBron James is, essentially, the governor of Ohio when it comes to the sports world – and his influence continues to grow. On Saturday, the Ohio State Buckeyes will be wearing cleats that are specially modeled after James’ sneakers and, for the first time in his life, the best basketball player on the planet will be in attendance to watch his favorite college football team take on arch rival Michigan.

However, that isn’t the only way in which James will put his stamp on the proceedings.

As seen above, every single baby born at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center on Friday or Saturday will also be outfitted with a pair of Nike LeBron Soldier 10 sneakers in colors representing the Buckeyes. This isn’t the only way in which babies are cloaked in Ohio State gear, as the words “Beat Michigan” will also grace the blankets that newborns are wrapped in this week.

Still, it is a completely different level to see newborns given high-end athletic shoes from the early hours of their life, and this is a nice gesture from the folks at Nike. LeBron James continues to provide others with opportunities, and this move will likely add to his ever-growing fan base.
