Paul George is more than just a small forward for the Indiana Pacers. For Daisy Esterline, an 11-year-old girl who lives with cerebral palsy, George became a hero when he donated $10,000 to her family so they could purchase a wheelchair-accessible van for her.
Daisy’s parents set up a GoFundMe page to try and get donations for the van — they needed to raise $12,000 to purchase it. George met Daisy during a hospital visit a year ago, and Daisy’s father Howard, decided to reach out to the Pacers star for his help. Howard tweeted at George a picture of the two from the visit, along with the link to her donation page on Sunday morning.
George graciously donated $10,000 to Daisy and her family on Monday.
Pretty awesome. Way to go, Paul George.
