Well, now we know how Rudy Gay feels about Golden State Warriors fans. The Sacramento Kings lost to their Northern California rival, the Golden State Warriors, on Saturday by a score of 128-116. Gay took as much umbrage for the pro-Warriors atmosphere as he did the loss itself.
The Warriors have essentially become the new Lakers, in so far as many of their away games sound like home games due to the immense following they’ve created all over the United States. This is what winning does – it creates new fans. It’s understandable, then, that Gay would be irate with the atmosphere of the Kings/Warriors game. It can’t be a good feeling for any home team to suddenly have their home-court advantage turned against them.
