Kawhi Leonard getting ruled out of Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals is good news for the Golden State Warriors. While seeing people get hurt is never good, the Warriors have to be kind of relieved that they’ll need to upend a Leonard-less Spurs team to get to their third NBA Finals in a row.
In fact, we know that at least one Warriors player seems pretty happy that Leonard won’t suit up for Game 4: Steph Curry. The two-time MVP came across a picture on Instagram from the good folks over at SLAM which announced that Leonard won’t play. In response, Curry smashed that like button.
If we know anything about how stuff like this goes down, Curry’s going to get asked about this after the game and say something like “Oh my Instagram was hacked” or “I liked that on accident while I was scrolling through, my bad.” Or Curry can just go completely pro wrestling heel and say “Yeah, I liked that picture because I knew they couldn’t beat us without him.” He probably won’t, but hey, at least it would be something different.
No matter what happened here, Leonard being out is really rough news for everyone. Well, other than the Warriors, of course.
