UCLA Basketball Featured LiAngelo Ball On Its Tickets Despite The Fact He Left The Program

UCLA basketball played Cincinnati on Saturday afternoon at Pauley Pavilion. The Bearcats were able to walk out of the road contest with a 77-63 win, dropping the Bruins to 7-3 on the season.

Maybe the team went into the game with some bad juju considering who was on the ticket for the game. Bruins season ticket holders who spent their Saturdays watching the team got into the arena via a ticket that prominently featured LiAngelo Ball.

Ball, of course, left the program after all of the fallout for his arrest for shoplifting in China. He has decided to sign with a professional team in Lithuania and is expected to join them sometime in December with his younger brother, LaMelo, who was expected to go to UCLA as a member of the class of 2019 before he went pro.

Obviously this is not the fault of UCLA or anything, because these tickets are printed months prior and Ball was on the team at that point. And really, there’s no way that they could have expected that LaVar Ball would decide to pull his son out of UCLA and have them go to Lithuania. Still, this is a pretty funny development and the latest in a long line of silly things to happen involving the Ball family.
