Video: Jeremy Lin’s 21 Points Leads Lakers To First Win

The Lakers, stuck without a win through their first five games, finally notched a “W” with a 107-92 victory over the visiting Hornets Sunday night. Jeremy Lin, and a rather inept Hornets offense, were a big reason why. Lin dropped 21 points and added seven dimes in a shade under 33 minutes of action.

Kobe Bryant also scored 21 points, but it took him eight more shots to do so — 8-for-12 for Lin, 7-of-20 for Mamba. Jeremy got into the lane early for a pair of layups and that gave him the confidence to knock down 3-of-6 three-pointers later in the game off a scrambling Hornets team.

Carlos Boozer added 16 points (7/11) and five rebounds, Ed Davis added 10 points on a perfect 5-for-5 shooting from the floor and Lakers fans can finally celebrate their first victory of the 2014-15 NBA season. We don’t think there will be many more where last night’s win came from, but it’s nice they’ve moved out of the 0-fer crowd this season.
