When you look past the tired horror spoof clichés and jokes that we’ve already seen throughout the Scary Movie franchise and in plenty of other parodies, this new red band trailer for A Haunted House 2 is actually a fun idea. It’s a play on those lame Facebook personal “movies” that all of your corny friends thought that you’d want to watch, and I don’t think that people made fun of those nearly as much as they should have.
But then, beyond the first :12 of the trailer, it’s right back to highlights of the screaming and jokes from A Haunted House that look a lot like the “new” screaming and jokes from A Haunted House 2. Except this time Jaime Pressly has joined the cast, and Cedric the Entertainer calls her a slut. Other than that, it looks like the same old, same old for the sequel to the movie with a $2.5 million budget that teenagers shelled out $59 million to see last year. So I will see you all again around this time the next five years with trailers for the sequels.
