Daenerys Targaryen And J-Law’s Boyfriend Are The New Bonnie And Clyde

Because there’s so much ground left to cover in the rich Bonnie and Clyde mythos, we’re apparently getting a new Bonnie and Clyde movie, starring Emilia Clarke, aka Daenerys Targarian (shut up, I spell it the Armenian way) and Nicholas Hoult, whom you may know variously as Beast in X-Men, Jennifer Lawrence’s boyfriend, or the little kid from About a Boy. Directing will be Michael Sucsy of The Vow, aka 50 First Tates, my favorite nickname we’ve ever given to a movie.

“Game of Thrones” star Emilia Clarke and “X-Men” actor Nicholas Hoult will play bank-robbing duo Bonnie and Clyde in Michael Sucsy’s “Go Down Together,” TheWrap has learned.

Sucsy is attached to direct from a script by Sheldon Turner (“Up in the Air”) and David Auburn (“Proof”), who adapted Jeff Guinn’s non-fiction book “Go Down Together: The True, Untold Story of Bonnie and Clyde.”

“Go Down Together” is a revisionist take on the legend of Clyde Barrow and femme fatale Bonnie Parker, young lovers who left at least seven bodies in their wake as they robbed banks throughout the Depression-era South. [TheWrap]

Am I crazy, or does someone try to make a new Bonnie and Clyde movie every year? We get it, they loved guns, money, and f*cking each other. …Ooh, maybe it’s a metaphor for America. I think I get it now.

I can’t wait for the 2037 version of Bonnie and Clyde, “Jayden and Kyndle.”
