The media frenzy for Dumb and Dumber To is in full swing this morning, after the first trailer for the long-awaited sequel to the 1994 comedy classic debuted on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels were on hand to help Fallon premiere the trailer, and they must have just camped out at 30 Rock, because they also stopped by Matt Lauer’s office this morning for Today.
Lauer showed off that trademark humor that he’s known so well for by dressing up in a powder blue tux and top hat so he could ask Carrey and Daniels a few questions about reprising their iconic roles 20 years later. But then he got right to the heart of the matter when he asked them to sing us a little “Mockingbird,” so we could all think back to a better time, long before The Incredible Burt Wonderstone existed.
