Orwell Meets Rockwell In These ‘Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’ Posters

It’s always fun when game marketing gets a little creative. And to hype up Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Square Enix has been posting some… interesting propaganda.

For a little background, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided takes place after “augmented” people, i.e. cyborgs, were turned into violent psychotics all at once. Needless to say, humanity has not taken the idea of ticking timebombs in our midst well, and being augmented means being shipped off to a camp or worse. This is especially a problem for our hero, Adam Jensen, who is pretty much a torso and head on robot limbs… oh, and said limbs are packed full of weapons.

The game itself is the sneaking and shooting the series has become known for, but to better build the mood… well, see for yourself.

You have to wonder what would happen if Norman Rockwell had been around long enough to anticipate cyberpunk. Either way, it looks like we have an answer here. As for the game itself, it arrives next year.
