Warner Bros. Interactive may have just released their big “toys-to-life” title LEGO Dimensions, but that doesn’t mean more traditional LEGO games aren’t also on the horizon. For those who just want to beat up enemies and collect studs without buying and scanning any extra toys, there’s the upcoming LEGO Marvel’s Avengers.
LEGO Marvel’s Avengers of course covers the events of The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron, but it also draws on solo Avengers movies like Iron Man 3, the two Captain America films and Thor: The Dark World. Oh, and developer TT Games isn’t stopping at the movies either, they’re going to be delving into Marvel comics for characters. Basically, like all LEGO games, this one looks like it’s going to be absolutely bursting with content.
Oh, also at some point in the game The Hulk apparently falls in love with a chicken. Shrug. Don’t ask me, I just thought you’d like to know.
So, what do you folks think? Anybody itching to feed their LEGO gaming fix? Or are these kind of LEGO games past their prime with the arrival of LEGO Dimensions? LEGO Marvel’s Avengers will arrive to break up the winter gaming lull on January 26, 2016.
